Paphos is a delightful little town split into two areas. Firstly, the tourist area of Kato Paphos set within the ruins of the ancient harbour fort and quay. Here you can sample some of the locally caught fish in the many excellent restaurants available along the quayside. Then there's Paphos Town, known as Ktima, which has numerous local shops and very interesting ancient churches and museums. There are Roman and Greek remains, complete with mosaics in the Houses of Dionysos and check out the fascinating Tombs of the Kings, which is quite often used as a setting for TV and film production. | Ayia Kyriaki (St.Paul's Pillar) - Paphos Delicately decorated with painted icons and lit by stunning chandeliers. Dating from the 12th century, and surrounded by beautiful roman ruins and mosaics, this church is the perfect place to say I do and it is in easy reach of the tourist areas of Paphos. The church can hold up to 110 guests so is ideal for larger weddings. | | | St. George's Chapel - Paphos A popular venue for both Anglican and Catholic weddings, with over 500 weddings conducted each year. It is essential to book early. This beautiful chapel has stunning decorative frescoes covering the entire inside of the chapel. It is situated in an elevated position overlooking the coast very near to St George's Hotel. | | | The Elysium Hotel - Paphos As you walk around, wherever your eyes rest, it is magnificent. The spa is fantastic, the dining areas beautiful and the pool is a delight. You will not believe how many beautiful places there are. This is a magical hotel and a photographer’s dream. Anglican and Catholic weddings take place in a beautiful little chapel situated in the extensive grounds. | | | Azia Resort and Spa - Paphos Nestled within the grounds you will find a very pretty white chapel where we can arrange Anglican and Catholic weddings. There are so many beautiful areas for you to hold your reception and the spa facilities are a must (spa treatments are offered in the grounds overlooking the sea). | | | Coral Beach Hotel and Resort - Paphos Civil, Anglican and Catholic Weddings. It has a beautiful Amphitheatre located down by the private harbour and beach, and is chosen by many for the most important day of their life. The resort offers extensive terraces and romantic settings and we have several locations in the hotel where weddings can take place. | | | Avanti Hotel Situated in a prime position in the heart of the resort of Paphos, just 250 metres from the beach. Set in 40,000 square metres of landscaped gardens, this splendid hotel offers a large lagoon style swimming pool with a swim up bar and children’s pool. | | | Aquamare Hotel and Spa This excellent hotel could almost stand in a class of its own. What makes the Aquamare Beach Hotel and Spa unique, compared to other 4 star holiday resorts, is that it boasts a superbly well-appointed Thalasso Spa Centre. A huge variety of beauty treatments is offered, should you be tempted to indulge yourself. | | | Paphos Town Hall Located in the centre of Paphos and has very friendly and helpful staff. The building is impressive, with neoclassical columns to the front. There is a choice of air-conditioned rooms in which you can be married, depending upon the size of your party. (The smaller one being the nicest in my personal opinion.) | | | Peyia Town Hall Situated in the centre of picturesque Peyia village in the hills overlooking the coast. Here you can have indoor weddings, in the air-conditioned rooms, or outdoors in the beautiful gardens. Interestingly, Peyia Town Hall can also arrange for the wedding to take place on the golden, sandy, beach of the Coral Bay Hotel. | | | Yacht Weddings Imagine arriving at your yacht, which is bedecked with balloons, ribbons and rosettes. Onboard, tables are decorated with flowers and you receive a reception of chilled champagne and canapés, followed by the most unique and intimate wedding ceremony. Sail out on the crystal clear waters and drop anchor for a while. | |
